My podcast about shared human experiences

My name is Saadia Khan, a Pakistani American living in NY.  A graduate of Columbia University's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, I have worked as a human rights activist. I am writing to you to introduce my podcast called "Immigrantly."The podcast, which launched in November 2018, grew out of my experiences as an activist and an immigrant living in the US. Immigrantly explores the intersectionality of racial identity, culture, and class through the lens of immigrant experiences. Every week, I invite immigrants/second-generation kids of immigrants from all walks of life to share their stories in an intensely personal way. We talk about race, gender, equality, and integration in a divided America. So far, I have published 60 episodes spread over five seasons. Season five started on January 7th, 2020. The podcast has featured conversations with people like Dina Nayeri, the author of "The ungrateful refugee, Malaka Gharib, author of I Was Their American Dream, Jade Chang, author of The Wangs vs. the World, Rowaida Abdel Aziz, reporter for HuffPost, Aymann Ismail, writer for Slate and host of the podcast “Man Up,” Juan Escalante, writer and immigration activist, Nisha Sharma, RITA award winner and author of My So-Called Bollywood Life, and many others.
Immigrantly is an Indie podcast; my goal through this podcast is to humanize stories of a diverse group of people and create counter-narratives to misconceptions about immigrants and people of color. It is also an attempt to take charge of our narratives through meaningful representation.
